Research Abstract |
In this study, we researched quantitatively the amount of generating and flowing out non-point pollution load and we investigated the effective control method for runoff non-point pollution load with our simulation model. At first, we researched and examined the accumulated non-point pollution load in street inlets in which pollution load is flushed out from a road surface and roofs. Next, we build up a mathematical simulation model to understand mechanism of the accumulation of non-point pollution load in street inlets in urban area quantitatively. Recently, the amount of runoff pollution load has a tendency to increase and water quality become worse in receiving water area. For these problems it is effective that a controlling system for runoff storm water with storage and/or infiltration of runoff storm water covering a wide drainage area. Then we investigated the effect of this controlling system on a reduction of the amount of runoff non-point pollution load and we made clear that this controlling system has a possibility of non-point pollution load reduction.
