| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
本研究では生まれ育った地域や文化の視覚環境が質感認知にどの程度、どのように寄与しているのか解明するという質感認知の異文化比較を目的としている。このためには、世界の諸地域における視覚環境(及び聴覚環境)を可能な限り統制された条件で収集し、その特性(特に質感認知に関わると考えられる統計的性質)について定量的に評価比較することが必要である。
本年度は、2016年度に取得した環境映像を用いて、画像質感の中に各地域の特徴がどの程度反映されているのかを検証する実験を実施した。この研究成果は「自然風景画像からの地域推定における色情報の効果」として日本心理学会第81回大会（久留米大学・2017/9/20-22）にて発表を予定している。
フィールド実験については、新学術計画班と連携してタンザニア地域において質感に関するフィールド実験を準備し、実施した。この結果として、引き続きフィールド実験を継続できる体制を整えることができた。
この他、研究発表として、第3回 こころと身体の学際会議（九州大学・2017/6/17）にて、主に心理学者の聴衆を対象に、フィールドにおいて心理実験を遂行する意義や、そのために必要な準備などについて解説した。また国際理論心理学会（立教大学・2017/8/21-25）においてシンポジウム（”Psychology of the face: inter-individual, inter-cultural, and inter-disciplinary approach.”）を企画し、実施した。
