Outline of Annual Research Achievements

昨年度は、本研究の中心となる最新のCMB偏光観測実験Simons Arrayのデプロイメントが始まった年であり、日本の高エネルギー加速器研究機構(KEK)で開発された最初のレシーバー「POLARBEAR-2A」のチリへの設置を実施した。本年度は引き続き観測スケジューリング、遠隔観測のための「ライブモニター」、デプロイメント時におけるクイックデータ解析、それによるデプロイメント作業へのフィードバック・改善を進めた。これらのデプロイメントの現状につい、Journal of Low Temperature Physicsで報告を行った。並行して、科学観測に向けた最終的な準備を進めると共に、ソフトウェアの面ではデータの品質保証解析とパイプライン開発を進めてきた。
Simons Arrayの前実験であるPOLARBEAR実験による科学解析も、本研究の大きなターゲットである。日本のすばる望遠鏡に搭載されているHyper Suprime-Cam(HSC)によるSubaru Strategic Program Dataと、POLARBEAによる相互相関解析を行い、CMB偏光だけを使ったものとしては世界で初めて重力レンズ信号の測定に成功し、これをThe Astronomical Journalの論文として出版した。これ以外にも「ハーシェル・アトラス銀河サーベイとの相互相関検出」、「ディレンジングの実現」、「重力レンズポテンシャル検出(更新)」等の論文を出版した。また、「インフレーション起源重力波の上限」を報告した論文をarxivに投稿した。以上に示した本研究の現状・科学成果を、国際学会での招待講演も含め、複数の学会・カンファレンスで報告した。
