倍数化を伴う種分化による植物多様化と適応遺伝子の進化

Research Abstract

タネツケバナ属の異質倍数種の種分化過程における植物多様化と適応遺伝子の進化過程を明らかにすることを目的に研究を進めた。2倍体種の系統的分化過程において水湿地への適応が一度起こり、その後、乾燥地の一年草種と湿地の多年草種間に由来する異質倍数体の繰り返しの進化が同属の多様化を促進したことを示唆するデータを得ていた。今年度は、網羅的発現解析の手法を用いて、異質4倍体種の遺伝子発現における両親種由来別の貢献度を、乾燥条件と水没条件において比較した。その結果、それぞれの条件依存的に片側の両親種に似た発現パターンが得られた。また、日本産タネツケバナ属異質倍数体種については、その地理的変異を明らかにした。昨年、自家不和合性、和合性のスクリーニングをおこなった極類について、13種間のすべての組み合わせについてかけ合わせ実験を実施した。ゲノムを共有する種間で種子ができるか、少なくとも発達の開始を見せる傾向があった。これらの結果より、タネツケバナ属の多様化は、対照的な生育地に適応したゲノムが重複する異質倍数化により進んだと考えられ、ゲノム障壁により隔てられた種間のまれな交雑イベントが植物種の多様化に大きく貢献する可能性が示唆された。
