Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、研究代表者らが得意とするレーザーの物理作用(電場、熱など)に基づく分子集合・分子配列の制御手法を駆使し、特異な機能を有する様々な無細胞分子システムをボトムアップ構築することにある。これにより、本学術変革領域の研究者が有する多様な物質群を対象として、受動的なプロセスのみでは得られない革新的な構造・機能を有する無細胞分子システムの創製を目指す。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究では、研究代表者が得意とするレーザーの物理作用(光電場、光熱作用など)に基づく分子の集合・配列制御法を駆使し、得意な構造・機能を有する様々な無細胞分子システムをボトムアップ構築することにある。
昨年度に引き続き2023年度は、物理作用に基づくレーザー技術(例:レーザーアブレーション、レーザートラッピング)の高度化・先鋭化と、本学術変革領域で対象とする様々な試料を用いた共同研究に取り組んだ。レーザー技術の高度化・先鋭化については、様々な試料の結晶化をモデルとして、分子システムのボトムアップ構築に必要な核発生、結晶種形成、多形相転移などを時空間制御することに成功した。またその集合・配列プロセスを透過光・蛍光・偏光・ラマン散乱など多角的にとらえることで、ボトムアップ構築のダイナミクスや形成した分子システムの機能をその場評価できることを示した。特に2023年度は偏光干渉計測を重点的に行い、その新規超解像イメージングなどを開発することにも成功している。また領域代表の松浦(東工大)をはじめ、様々な領域内共同研究を展開した。その結果、タンパク質・核酸・低分子化合物など、分子量が大きく異なる様々な物質を局所濃縮可能であるという、超越分子システムの新規ボトムアップ構築法に関する重要な知見を得た。以上の成果はJ Phys Chem Lett誌など複数の原著論文として報告し、さらに様々な学会・シンポジウムなどでも発表した。
