Outline of Annual Research Achievements

疎水性高分子を希薄溶液から，気/水界面に展開するだけで，1桁ナノメーターサイズで極めて高さの揃ったナノ微粒子が形成される．このナノ微粒子を同一面内に二次元集積させた単粒子膜を固体基板上に一層づつ移し取って積層させた，ナノコロイド結晶ライクな，「ポリマーナノスフィア積層粒子層状組織体」を新規に創製した．本課題においては，領域趣旨に従い，このソフトマテリアルが界面にて形成する構造体の形成過程と最終構造の精密分子配列解析を実行した．まず形成物質としては，系統的に側鎖長を変えて新規に合成(直接重合法)した，含長鎖アルキル芳香族ポリアミドを用い，加えて「疎水性」「機能性(発光特性)」という観点から，N-ビニルカルバゾールを含む三元櫛形共重合体をも新規合成し，使用した．これらの固体構造を広角X線回折，小角X線散乱，示差走査熱量測定により評価した．更に水面上におけるin situ測定として，化合物群の表面圧-面積曲線による評価を行い，ナノ粒子形成機構を検討した．更に固体基板上に，Langmuiur-Blodgett(LB)法を用いて一層一層積み重ね，out-of-plane X線回折，in-plane X線回折の測定を行い，特に一層膜については，原子間力顕微鏡(AFM)測定を行った．特に，可視光領域の厚みまで階段状に積み重ねた累積膜に関しては，構造色による発色を確認した．回折方向の異なる2種のX線回折法による解析から，高さ方向に分子鎖が折り畳まれて積み重なった構造を形成していることが判明した．更に紫外-可視分光法，蛍光分光法によって，粒子内でπ共役系部位がスタックした蛍光発光能の増強が確認された．また，気-水界面における"繰り返し圧縮緩和法"により，粒子配列と粒子充填構造が発達した高密度集積化構造が達成されている様子をAFMによって確認し，新規のナノコロイド結晶としての可能性が示された．
