Outline of Research at the Start	コドンはタンパク質コード領域の主たる構成要素であるが、同義コドンの使い分けにどのような生物学的意義があるのか不明な点が多い。研究代表者はこれまでコドン依存的にmRNAの分解を誘導する因子を同定し、この因子の破綻が炎症応答を引き起こすことを見出している。これらの知見を足掛かりとして、生体におけるコドンの認識を介した自己指向性免疫応答制御を解明することを目指す。
