研究概要

北太平洋の長期変動メカニズム解明のための物理・生物・化学的な総合観測を実施し、大気海洋循環ならびに物質循環長期変動の定量化に成功した。また、海水中の温室効果気体のアルゴリズム化に成功した。さらに、長期変動が海洋環境変動に与える影響を組み込んだ数値モデルを用いて、北太平洋亜寒帯海域での長期変動を復元した。
