研究成果の概要

本研究では，数学モデルとコンピューターシミュレーションを積極的に活用することで，植物個体の生存成長戦略の分子メカニズムを理論的に明らかにすることを目的として，主に3つのテーマを推進した．（１）自然環境でみられる複雑な温度変化に応答する仕組みを明らかにし，遺伝子情報に立脚した開花時期予測モデルを開発した．（２）育種研究へ新たな数理的手法を提供することを目的に，イネのショ糖転流と玄米登熟を捉えた師管栄養輸送モデルを開発した．（３）植物が多様な明暗サイクルにどのように応答し計画的なデンプン利用を実現しているのか，そのメカニズムを明らかにする数理モデルを開発した．
