研究成果の概要

植物は、植物に特有の光受容体によって光情報を感知している。本研究では、分子・細胞レベルの光応答の個体レベルへの統合機構を理解するため、従来の手法に加え、レーザー顕微手術、などを利用した新しいタイプの研究を推進した。その結果、１）光受容体の分子構造と機能、２）光受容体のシグナルの細胞内伝達機構、３）陰刺激に対する芽生え各部の応答と器官間シグナル伝達、４）細胞変形に対する細胞応答、などの項目について、様々な知見が得られ、植物の光刺激や他の刺激に対する分子機構についての理解が進んだ。
