研究成果の概要

分裂酵母の接合型変換の素過程は、接合型座(mat)における厳密な反応極性を有する遺伝子変換である。この極性制御は、matでのヘテロクロマチン形成（染色体コミュニケーション）とクリプテックなゲノム情報の世代を超えた発現（インプリンティング）が、深く関係している。本研究では、その反応機構の解明を目指し、特に、染色体の動態に注目して解析した。ChIP-Seq解析の結果、接合型の違いによって、mat領域でのSwi2蛋白質の局在が異なり、この違いは、Swi6蛋白質に依存することを明らかにした。また、３C法によって、接合型が異なる細胞間ではmat領域の染色体の空間配置が異なることを明らかにした。
