研究成果の概要

本研究では、第一原理計算に基づく理論計算技術および走査型プローブ顕微鏡を用いた物性計測・原子操作技術によるナノ構造情報獲得手法の開発を行い、酸化チタン表面の吸着原子やクラスタなどの持つナノ構造情報を定量的に抽出した。また、表面ナノ構造評価を効率的に行うため、パルスレーザー堆積法と原子間力顕微鏡の複合装置（PLD/AFM）を開発した。さらに、触媒材料だけに留まらず、機能性セラミックス界面や固体イオニクス材料についても，領域内で連携体制をとり、新規材料創製に資するようなナノ構造情報の系統的な抽出を行った。
