研究概要

国際学術研究「名古屋大学-ロザリオ大学間協定による南米固有の資源生物に関する生化学研究の推進」の第3年度では,特に植物部門と動物部門に関する生化学研究を発展させることを計画して実行した.研究者の交流として,名古屋大学からは小川と谷口が,また,ロザリオ大学からはGuibertが相互に訪問した.小川と谷口はロザリオ大学側の植物研究者と南米固有な,しかも牧草あるいは食用植物として有用なC4植物における生化学研究の現状に関して情報交換を行った.特に,効率的な光合成を行う上で重要なC_4光合成タンパク質の活性調節機構及び発現調節機構に関してタンパク質レベルでの精力的な研究が行われていることを確認でき,今後この分野で分子生物学的手法を活用した共同研究を計画できると結論した.小川と谷口はロザリオ大学側の研究者に名古屋大学での研究の最先端について紹介し,意見交換を行うとともに,今後の協力研究のあり方等を討議した.
Guibertは名古屋大学において,彼の専門としている動物細胞の凍結保存に関して最新の研究成果を紹介した.また,主として前多をはじめとした動物部門の研究者と研究情報の交換を行うとともに,今後の共同研究計画に関して討論した.
