Time-varying visualization is always a challenging problem. In this year, I have mainly conducted the researches in the visualization of large-scale time-varying 3D scattered data, and the analysis of the cross correlation of the time-varying volume data. The 3D scattered data always has a very complex structure, and the volume rendering effect is also required in the visualization, which can also regarded as a time-varying volume visualization problem. To solve this, I have proposed an interactive particle-based rendering method to visualize the time-varying 3D scattered data with a high speed and good image quality. This technique was applied to the tsunami simulation data, which are located in Ishinomaki city and the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station. The results verified the efficiency of the proposed method. On the other hand, I also performed the cross correlation analysis of the heated sphere large-scale volume data. The correlation between two parameters was analyzed to find the causality of them. Then the interactive particle-based rendering was applied to visualize the analysis result. As the experimental results, the correlation between two parameters were visualized very clearly and efficiently. As the research achievements, 3 international conference papers and 3 domestic conference paper have been published in this year. I also submitted a paper to an international journal and now is waiting for the results.
