The study was focused on the interface engineering of the solution-processed layered structures of perovskite solar cell. Using mesoporous TiO2 layers as electron collector and, photovoltaic performance of triple cation (Cs, MA, FA) lead halide perovskite was improved by changing the perovskite grain size and morphology based on optimization of the recipe of solution coating process. High density and large grain perovskite crystal layers were obtained, which exhibited high conversion efficiency exceeding 20% on photovoltaic cell. The result was submitted to journal and presently under review. I also prepared lead free perovskites which is a main part of my proposal. Bismuth-based lead free methyl ammonium bismuth iodide (MBI) perovskite was studied due to its non-toxicity and stability. The morphology of MBI could be tuned via choosing various scaffolds (planar, mesoporous (anatase and brookite)) and improved by altering the composition of precursor solution. Efficiency of 0.3% and more was obtained as the highest efficiency of MBI perovskite so far reported and devices were proved to be stable against ambient moisture in air up to 10 weeks. These results were published in two peer-review journals (ACS Applied Materials and Interfaces, RCS Advances).
