研究成果の概要

磁化惑星で普遍的に生じている相対論的電子加速過程の解明を目的とした計算機シミュレーション研究を実施した。惑星磁気圏と太陽風との相互作用を解く磁気流体力学計算と、放射線帯でのプラズマ波動の発生と相対論的電子の加速過程を再現する電子ハイブリッドコードを組み合わせる「連成計算」により、地球および木星磁気圏を対象に、高効率な電子加速過程を引き起こすホイッスラーモード・コーラス放射の発生条件を明らかにした。
