| 研究成果の概要 |
「国際共同研究加速基金」は，科研費プロジェクト15K01118の延長である．このプロジェクトの目的は，近世における知的活動の歴史を背景とした東洋の伝統科学の役割と発展の調査である．この補助金は，ニューヨーク大学とブラウン大学で2016年8月から2017年4月にかけて行った共同研究の費用と，2018年7月にバンクーバーで開催された第17回国際サンスクリット学会へのパネル企画の費用にあてられた．また，大規模な国際会議（アジア伝統科学国際会議2017）を京都大学で2017年10月に開催した．この国際会議では，合計30本の論文とポスターが発表され，論文集が2019年3月に人文科学研究所から発行された.

| 研究成果の学術的意義や社会的意義 |
The project brings to the attention of the scholarly community and the public some of the frontier research currently done in the field of history of science. A high-level international network of scholars working on premodern history of cosmologies and astronomy was formed as a result.
