研究概要

発がんにおけるMaf遺伝子群の機能を解明するために、モデルマウスを作製した。その結果、c-Mafのリンパ球への単純過剰発現により、リンパ腫が発症することを明らかにした。腫瘍細胞におけるc-Mafの標的遺伝子を探索したところ、ARK5、Cyclin D2、IntegrinR7等であることを明らかにした。また、ヒトのT細胞性リンパ腫における発現を解析したところ、血管免疫芽球性T細胞リンパ腫(Angioimmunoblastic T cell lymphoma : AILT)症例でc-Mafの過剰発現が認められることを明らかにした。以上の結果から、c-Mafの単純過剰発現により、リンパ球ががん化することが示唆された。
