研究概要

目標指向行動において目標となる報酬到達までの労働負荷、報酬価値の情報処理が脳内でどのようになされているかを、サルの脳より単一ニューロン活動を記録して調べた。前部帯状皮質吻側部では報酬に向かってスケジュールが進行するに従って徐々に反応が小さくなるニューロン、前部島皮質では、報酬の可能性に対して反応するニューロン、背側縫線核では、無報酬試行で反応するニューロンが見つかった。報酬の価値とそれを獲得するためのコストの兼ね合いをどう選択するかという行動決定の過程を調べると、サルの選択行動は報酬価値の指数関数減衰モデルによってうまく説明できることがわかってきた。
