研究概要

平成17年度〜19年度の研究成果として、以下のとおり報告いたします。
1 2006年『すばる』6月号<特集 オーストラリア文学>に論評「オーストラリア文学の現在-多文化主義社会と文学の変容-」を掲載、またケイト・ダリアン=スミスの「現代オーストラリア文学事情-文化の混清-」を翻訳する。
2 龍谷大学The Afrasian Centre for Peace and Development Studiesが2007年2月23日に、オーストラリア、メルボルン、モナッシュ大学で主催したThe Second AFC International Symposium,"Changing Identities and Networks in the Globalising World:Negotiation,Conflict Prevention and Conflict Resolution in Everyday Life"に参加、"The Transformation of Australian Identity:Literature and Cultural Authenticit,"と題する研究発表を行なった。
3竹田いさみ、森健、永野隆行(編)『オーストラリア入門第2版』(東京大学出版会、2007)を刊行。そのなかの第二章文化,1.「21世紀のオーストラリア文化とその表象」(1)〜(4)2.(2)「現代詩」、(3)「現代演劇の発展」3.「芸術」(2)「現代絵画」(3)「パフォーミング・アーツ」について執筆した。
4翻訳書、ケイト・ダリアン=スミス・有満保江(編)『ダイヤモンド・ドッグ-多文化を映す現代オーストラリア短編集』(現代企画室、2008)を出版した。そのなかのウーヤン・ユー作「北からやってきたウルフ」、マーリンダ・ボビス作「舌の寓話」、スニル・バダミ作「沈黙夫婦」の翻訳、およびケイト・ダリアン=スミス氏解説「文化の混溝-現代オーストラリア短編小説と国家への帰属意識」の翻訳した。
