研究成果の概要

本研究では、グラフェン中に欠陥を導入することで新たな物性の発現やそれに基づく新機能電子デバイスを提案することを目的とした。ここでは、グラフェンと不純物分子との相互作用に関して明らかにし、それによる電子構造の変化や輸送特性との関係性を示した。また、これらの関係性を利用することで、環境汚染物質などを選択的に検知可能な高感度センサーデバイスへ応用できることを示した。

研究成果の学術的意義や社会的意義

原子膜物質の代表的な物質のグラフェンは、特異な物性を示すことから、高性能電子デバイスへの応用が期待されていた。本研究で得られた成果は、欠陥の存在がグラフェンの特性やデバイスの性能に大きく影響を及ぼすことを示唆しており、学術的にも社会的にも意義がある。
