研究実績の概要 |
The project achieved outstanding results in the field of spin interferometry. In the presence of both Rashba and Dresselhaus spin-orbit interaction transport through a spin-interferometer is anisotropic with respect to a probing in-plane magnetic field direction. We showed that this can be used to detect reversal of the sign of the Dresselhaus interaction. First, initial results were published discussing anisotropies in a fixed Dresselhaus interaction and variable Rashbaspin-orbit field. The results indicated oscillating anisotropy due to spinrotation dynamics on the Bloch sphere. The results have been published. Subsequently, we discussed experimental results in a InGaAs based spin-interferometer and compared results to numerical data at fixed Dresselhaus interaction. We found an extra transition in the sign of anisotropy that was consistent with reversal of the Dresselhaus spin-orbit interaction due to strain in the sample. Therefore the project achieved a remarkable goal as we showed that the spin-orbit fields canbe probed using spin interferometry and we were first to detect experimentally sign change of the Dresselhaus interaction. These results are under peer-review. We published also two other papers where we discuss topological transitions of the geometric phase in spin resonance. These results are analogous to those found in ring interferometers. The project was prematurely terminated due to loss of Kakenhi eligibility after the contract at the host institution ended. Therefore all the planned goals could not be achieved.
