The conducted research stated the importance given in traditional scholarship to the study of poetry.
It provided a detailed case study of how a particular usage in a poem gave rise to a novel interpretation of a set of grammatical rules, it has shown how techniques developed in the commentarial literature on poetry where applied to commentaries in other fields (medicine, for example), and it demonstrated how concepts developed within the field of poetics influenced several conservative fields of knowledge. It has also demonstrated that some early modern scholars wrote commentaries on poetological works as a means to disseminate the doctrine of their schools.
However, due to COVID-related travel restriction, I was not able to conduct the field-study based research adequately.
