要介護老人の終末期における経管栄養に関する研究

研究概要

要介護老人における経管栄養後の生存期間はどの位か、又、何によって経管栄養後の生存期間が決定されるのかを調査するため、163 人の仙台光が丘スペルマン病院に入院して経管栄養を受けた患者の前向きな予後調査を行った。
経管栄養なしで過ごした期間と経管栄養後の生存期間は反比例しており、特に寝たきり半年以上の人では経管栄養後の生存期間は約半年で約半年であった。更に経管栄養後肺炎なしで過ごした期間と経管栄養後の生存期間は比例した。経管栄養後一旦肺炎をおこした場合、生存期間は半年であった。
