研究実績の概要 |
The research aimed to provide an analytical system-based guideline to advance transdisciplinary research in collaboration with multiple institutional stakeholders that can ensure real world action to overcome complex problems for human wellbeing in line with the SDGs. The first activity to achieve this purpose was to identify overlapping issues where researchers at the Future Earth Knowledge-Action Networks (KANs) were focused on. As a result, the urban and health KANs were chosen because of the synergies they contained, similar network sizes, stages of development, as well as the urgency they have on the global agenda. The purpose of the research was divided into four sub-objectives that each target its distinct sets of data at which the urban and health issues were examined. The four sub-objectives were as follows: (1) examining the state of the art, (2) identifying key stakeholders and the value flows between, (3) determining optimum institutional system design, (4) creating a roadmap of actions to improve transdisciplinary collaboration.
