Porous structure is proved as a promising structure for capturing the biomolecules. However, the difficulty for integration of the porous structure on the channel of electrical nanosensors have limited the application. Here I proposed an original strategy of creating a kirkendall effect induced porous structure on ZnO channel of transistor-based biosensor. The porous structure was in-situ fabricated by annealing of an Al2O3 covered ZnO nanobeam. The formation of the porous structure was assigned to the kirkendall effect of different diffusion rates of Al and Zn at the interface of Al2O3/ZnO. At last, the sensing response to the CRP analytes was observed by the integrated electrical biosensor. We believe that this original strategy will be a foundation for designing a new type of porous-based biosensors.
