Molecular electronic devices have been intensively studied as one of the promising the next-generation transistors in the academia. Especially, stably operable molecular electronic devices at room temperature (RT) have been considered as big challenge yet. In this study, we proposed to demonstrate RT operable single molecular resonant-tunneling transistor by using quinoidal fused oligosilole derivative. Here, we tried to bridge the single molecular between nanogap electrodes to minimize thermal fluctuation at room temperature and to have high on tunneling current with low tunneling resistance. Finally, we achieved RT operable bridged single molecular resonant-tunneling transistors with high on/off current ratio.
