Based on the successuful observation of bulk photovoltaic effect by combining opto-electronics and noncentrosymmetry in chirality-induced two-dimensional organic-inorganic hybrid perovskites (OIHPs), we implemented opto-spintronics with noncentrosymmetry by utilizing circular polarized light (CPL). The results showed the observation of chirality-induced circular photogalvanic effect (CPGE) which produces zero-bias photocurrent with spin polarization under CPL. Both of the phenomena were found dependent on chirality of used organic components. The work about CPGE was published on Advanced Materials very recently. Besides, we worked on the combination of magnetism and noncentrosymmetry for special magnetic behavior by studying chirality-introduced Cu two-dimensional OIHPs. From the measurements, several magnetic phases involving spin spirals were found based on copper bromide with chirality. This is considered to be induced by the spin frustration without centrosymmetry of materials since we also synthesized a centrosymmetric OIHP copper bromide for comparison which shows only ferromagnetic phase at low temperature. We also measured neutron diffraction on deuterated samples. However, no clear period of spin was observed. This work will soon be published.
