研究概要

本研究ではブラックカーボン測定器を開発・改良し、その測定器を搭載した航空機観測を東アジア域・北極域で行った。ブラックカーボンの濃度・粒径分布・混合状態などの微物理特性を測定し、ブラックカーボンの気候影響を評価する上で鍵となる時空間分布・広域輸送・変質過程・除去過程を明らかにした。また、ブラックカーボンの微物理特性を詳細に表現した全球・領域モデルを開発した。観測結果を用いてモデルの検証を行い、ブラックカーボンの放射効果および気候への影響を定量的に評価した。
