研究概要

記憶・学習は神経活動によって引き起こされるシナプスの機能的・形態的な可塑的変化として蓄えられる。この分子機構を解明するために、小脳をモデルとして、δ2型グルタミン酸受容体(δ2受容体)とCbln1という2つの分子に着目した。δ2受容体のアミノ末端に小脳顆粒細胞が分泌するCbln1が結合することによってシナプス形成が制御され、そのカルボキシル末端によって、機能的シナプス可塑性が誘導されることを初めて明らかにした。
