研究概要

1つの森林に共存する、異なる生葉ポリフェノール濃度を持つ針葉樹2種、広葉樹3種それぞれ5反復の樹冠下から土壌を採集し、生化学的・生態学的な解析を行った。その結果、固有の土壌微生物群集や窒素無機化特性の空間様式が樹冠に対応する形で樹種特異的に形成されていた。土壌水の溶存態ポリフェノールの分布様式との比較、及び樹木から抽出した縮合タンニンの土壌接種試験の結果から、以上の空間様式は生葉のポリフェノールによって形成されていることが示唆された。
