多様な事象が生起しても情報の流れに対して大きな影響を及ぼさないためには、情報ネットワークの機能を損傷しない仕組みが大切である。想定外の事象が生じたとき情報ネットワークが生き延びる為の対処法として、情報ネットワーク構成に冗長性を持たせ高い結合度を確保する仕組みを内包しておき、多様な状況変化に迅速に対応し情報の流れを大域的及び局所的に制御する研究を行った。
