研究概要

アメリカ、韓国にある目的の資料、ジュネーブのWCCが保存するエキュメニカルな立場に立つ世界伝道に関する資料等を収集した。その一部をデジタル化し、研究の便宜を高めた。韓国の大邱、全州、朝鮮伝道に大きな影響を与えた中国山東省等で現地調査を行った。学会発表、研究会を通じ、韓国基督教歴史研究所の中心メンバーとの協力関係を構築した。一連の研究活動を通じ、朝鮮、中国、日本におけるアメリカ人による伝道は、その方法において共通するパターンがあるが、その歴史的展開においては、中国と日本は類似し、朝鮮は異なっていることがわかった。
