研究概要

難治性の消化器固形腫瘍に対する治療成績の向上は、癌治療における大きな課題の一つである。そこで生体の免疫応答を抑制しがちな従来の化学療法、放射線療法とは異なり、その可能性のないアデノウイルスを用いた殺細胞効果を検討した。
すなわち、細胞傷害活性を有する同ウイルスの増殖を腫瘍細胞特異的に惹起し、正常細胞を傷害せず、腫瘍のみに細胞死を誘導しようとするものである。
また腫瘍選択的な抗腫瘍効果をウイルスの改変で増強しうるかどうか、さらに抗がん剤との併用効果の有無についても検討した。
