研究概要

申請者は遺伝的アルゴリズム(Genetic algorithm, GA)をTraveling salesman problem (TSP)へ適用する一連の研究を行った.TSPは最も代表的なNP困難な組合せ最適化問題であり,新しい解法の枠組みを考案する際のベンチマーク問題として多くの近似解法や厳密解法が提案されているため,非常に競争が激しいベンチマーク問題である.考案したGAは(計算時間が比較的多く与えられた場合)世界で最も優れたTSPの近似解法として高い評価を受けている.また,Memetic algorithm (MA)とはGAと局所探索法を組合せた手法であるが,MAを用いて物流最適化やスケジューリングに関する組合せ最適化問題に対して,非常に優れた近似解法を考案した.
