研究概要

超低地温勾配域の環境を経験した海洋地殻起源の超低温高圧変成岩類に記録された「沈み込みメタソマティズム」についての実像把握を目的に,中米グアテマラの広域ローソン石エクロジャイトとそれに準ずる世界の低温エクロジャイト相変成岩(北米フランシスカン帯,西南日本蓮華帯など)を対象に,地質学的・岩石学的・地球化学的・年代学的な総合研究を行った.そして,超低温高圧変成岩試料から正確な地質情報をデコードし,それに記録されたその複雑系の地質現象に年代を与えていくための研究ルーチンを確立した.
