| 研究開始時の研究の概要 |
Analysing the views from the capitals, the project examines the positions of 5 countries towards Russia sanctions and the Ukraine crisis.The data on countries’ positions will be gathered from media sources and public polls. A series of semi-structured interviews with domestic political and business elites will be conducted. The research will be finalised by conducting a cross-case comparison, using qualitative methods.The research project’s significance is to shed more light on the internal mechanism of the imposition and prolongation of sanctions.

| 研究実績の概要 |
ウクライナとロシアの対立の原因となっているクリミア及び東部ウクライナをめぐる紛争とそれに対する欧米の対ロ経済制裁をうけ、日本も対ロ制裁に乗り出した。それから５年を経て、日本の対ロ制裁の性格は戦略的曖昧性をもち、またこの種のレベルの制裁を行っているニュージーランド、オーストラリア、スイス等の諸国や制裁を実施していないスイス等との比較について研究を行い、その成果を発表した。
