| 研究開始時の研究の概要 |
This study analyzes the portrayal of ‘minorities,’ and of Hong Kong and Taiwan, in Chinese public culture. Its results will enhance understanding of the politics of schooling and state propaganda, of the dynamics of Chinese nationalism, and their implications for stability around China’s periphery.

このプロジェクトは、中国共産党がファシズムと国内植民地主義の融合に向けて決定的なイデオロギー的転換をとったことを決定的に示した。近年、中国全土での愛国教育のテーマは一貫性を増しており、中国人のアイデンティティの根底にあるビジョンはますます一枚岩になっている。 「漢人」であれ「少数派」であれ、すべてのコミュニティは今日、多数派の漢民族を中心とした「中国的優秀伝統文化」に基づく「中国らしさ」の考えに同化することが求められている。したがって、国家のアイデンティティと歴史に関する現在のメッセージは、中国共産党を平等主義の擁護者から儒教の「正義の階層」の擁護者に変えたイデオロギーの旅の頂点を表している。

| 研究成果の学術的意義や社会的意義 |
This research reveals the essentially fascist underpinnings of Chinese nationalist discourse, as expressed in the school curriculum and through public history. It also shows the increasingly colonial and assimilatory character of China's strategy for governing peripheral regions.
