| 研究開始時の研究の概要 |
This project explores on the elderly communities in Iwate Japan and Tacloban Philippines. Both areas were severely devastated by natural disasters. It is hoped that through this research, the elderly will be seen as a potential in disaster response and rescue operations thereby enhancing their collective action as well as their inclusion and participation in disaster situations. Focused interviews will be the main method to gather data. Through the results, presentations will be done and publications could emanate. Workshops and seminars will also be conducted.

| 研究成果の概要 |
タクロバンの OSCA で高齢者への研究結果の共有が行われました。オンライン口頭発表1回、対面発表1回を実施しました。対面でのポスター発表も 1 件行われました。主任研究者の知識とスキルを向上させるだけでなく、現在および今後の傾向を学ぶために、3 つの学術会議に出席しました。これらの会議はまた、近い将来、他の分野や大学の他の学者や研究者とのコラボレーションの可能性をネットワーク化する機会を提供しました。 2022 年に 2 番目の論文が発行されました。ジャーナル出版のための 3 番目の論文は現在準備中です。

| 研究成果の学術的意義や社会的意義 |
This research aspired to contribute in filling the gap on the dearth of studies about disaster and older people. It is hoped that through this study, disaster planning, response, and recovery becomes more inclusive, equitable, and diverse.
