研究概要

DNA鎖の交換反応である相同組換えは、ゲノムの多様性を生み出すばかりでなく、減数分裂期には相同染色体の分配に重要な役割を果たす。減数分裂期組換えの起きる時期には、相同染色体が対合した特殊な染色体構造であるシナプトネマ複合体形成が起こる。一方、減数分裂前期には劇的な染色体運動が起き、それと共役しながら、核内で染色体の再配置が起きる。本研究は、減数分裂期特異的な染色体構造形成や染色体運動には核膜タンパク質Mps3のリン酸化が重要な役割を果たすことを明らかにした。核膜が染色体の機能を制御する点で新しい発展と言える。
