生産農場における繁殖雌豚の蹄の外傷と淘汰と生存率

研究概要

3繁殖農場で飼育されている繁殖雌豚の蹄の外傷(1頭当たり56か所)と、繁殖と淘汰リスクおよび行動の関連を調査した。蹄外傷は5点法(0から4)で、一番高いスコア(HCLS)を記録した。308頭を観察し、HCLSの割合は、1であった雌豚は43.5%、2は50.6%、3は4.9%、4は1.0%であった。HCLSは、繁殖(21日齢総子豚体重、授乳期子豚死亡率、離乳後交配日数)と淘汰リスクおよび行動に関連性はなかった。さらにこの研究プロジェクトから見つけられたリスク因子は、妊娠後期、高産次そしてスノコ間隙の方向であった。雌豚の身体に対して、スノコ間隙が垂直に設置されている床で、外傷が多かった。
