研究概要

出芽酵母の消毒薬(塩化ベンザルコニウム・グルコン酸クロルヘキシジン)耐性に関与する因子の検索を行った。これまでに本研究代表者は、トランスポーターのひとつSge1を過剰発現させた場合に、酵母が塩化ベンザルコニウムおよびグルコン酸クロルヘキシジンに対し、ともに耐性を示すことを明らかにしている。そこでSge1に構造上近いAzr1,Vba3,Vba5の過剰発現が、これら消毒薬の耐性に関与するかどうかを調べたところ、いずれも野生株と同程度であった。また、Sge1,Azr1,Vba3,Vba5の遺伝子欠損酵母もこれら消毒薬に耐性を示さなかった。一方、出芽酵母株の遺伝子欠損酵母株ライブラリーを用いて塩化ベンザルコニウム感受性に関与する因子のスクリーニングを行い、候補となる遺伝子欠損株を、耐性株に、感受性株ともに多数得た。
