研究概要

C型慢性肝炎に対する標準治療はインターフェロンとリバビリンの併用療法であるが、その有効率は約50%にとどまっている。高齢女性は治療効果が低いことが知られている。本研究では更年期女性の骨粗鬆症の治療剤である、ラロキシフェンが抗C型肝炎ウイルス(HCV)活性について明らかにした。ラロキシフェンはインターフェロンの抗HCV活性を増強した。一方、ラロキシフェンは高脂血症の抗HCV活性を減弱させた。
