研究概要

好酸球数は臨床的にアレルギー性炎症の最も良い指標とされているが、好酸球のアレルギー病態における役割については不明な点が多く残されている。私達はマイクロアレイを用いて好酸球特異的な機能の網羅的な探索を試みた。その結果、末梢血から純化した好酸球をin vitroで各種の刺激を加えたところ、定常状態の他の血液細胞には発現していない遺伝子群が見いだされた。それらの中にはAREGやCCL23などの他の細胞の活性化や遊走を惹起する因子が含まれていた。以上の結果から、好酸球は効果細胞としての脱顆粒などによる直接的な作用だけでなく、制御細胞としてもアレルギー性炎症反応に関与する可能性が示唆された。
