研究概要

他者によって遂行される行為を観察し模倣することが、新奇な行為の学習において重要である。本研究では、継時的に視覚呈示される無意味な姿勢の観察中の脳活動が、光を用いて脳の活動を捉える近赤外分光法によって計測された。実験の結果、課題の遂行中に中心前回の下部(ヒトのミラーニューロン・システムを構成する脳部位)における酸素化ヘモグロビン濃度の増加を確認した。このことは、ヒトが無意味な姿勢の連続に身体運動としての可能性を認識するだけで、ヒトの運動計画に関与する脳部位、すなわち、ミラーニューロン・システムが駆動することを示唆する。
