研究概要

場所情報の提示方法の違い(絶対または相対参照系、地図または写真)によって、とくに空間能力・方向感覚の低い人の位置把握に影響を与えることがわかった。これらの結果は、効果的なナビゲーション方法への示唆とともに、敢えて困難を感じる提示方法を選択することで、利用者の位置把握の能力、ひいては空間的思考能力を訓練できるのではないかという視点も提供し、個人属性を考慮した空間認知の問題として今後の研究が期待される。
