研究概要

本研究は、LC-ESI-MS法による海水中の葉酸定量法を開発し、濃度減衰要因と葉酸から生じる化合物を探索した。結果、葉酸添加後48時間以降に生じた化合物はNMR、MSによる構造解析を経て主としてパラアミノグルタミン酸(PAG)であると確認した。従来、葉酸は光により分解消失すると考えられてきたが、本実験では暗条件下で67%の葉酸がPAGに変化しており、海水中の溶存有機化合物消失速度が化合物の化学性に強く依存することを実験的に示した。
