研究概要

本研究の目的は、普遍文法に対する原理とパラメータのアプローチにもとづいて、wh句と痕跡位置とが1対2で対応するという特殊性を示す、寄生空所を含む文の派生を明らかにすることである。英語、日本語、中国語を含む複数言語からの資料を収集しながら調査した結果、要素の摘出領域の形成の仕方が寄生空所の利用可能性に影響を及ぼしていることが明らかとなり、この現象を説明するために本研究では、要素の摘出を許さないと従来考えられていた領域においてもそれが許される場合があり、それが寄生空所を形成しているという分析を提示した。
