研究概要

本研究では市中感染型メチシリン耐性黄色ブドウ球菌の産生する病原因子Panton-Valentineロイコシジン(PVL)の細胞膜マイクロドメインlipid rafts依存的な細胞障害メカニズムを明らかにした。Lipid rafts はPVLの膜孔形成に必須であるが、標的細胞認識に影響せず、従来のガングリオシドGM1とは異なる新規レセプター分子の存在が示唆された。この、新規レセプターは毒素活性の中和に主眼をおいた創薬ターゲットとなる。
