研究開始時の研究の概要 |
How can effective programming curriculum materials 1) be co-designed while with creative pedagogies, and 2) be adapted to rural areas to support teacher professional development, following a design-based research approach developing new iteration of the workshops each year as feedback is collected.

研究実績の概要 |
Similarly to AY2022, AY2023 was partially focused on mitigating the impact of the pandemic that heavily disrupted the project. Educators in rural areas of Japan face significant challenges due to the lack of adapted IT infrastructure for online learning. The government GIGA project helped provide some of the infrastructure but didn't provide the pedagogical tools the teachers need. As a result, people have become less willing to participate in new trials, such as our research proposal, and attend professional development workshops due to a lack of allocated time. Despite these difficulties, we presented our results at two different international conferences chosen for their interdisciplinarity, SEACE2024 (education) and ANTiDOTE2023 (Drama Pedagogy).

理由
In the previous progress report, we were planning to disseminate our research results to the academic community through conferences. We partially achieved this result through presentations at two different conferences, chosen for their interdisciplinarity.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
We are planning the use the incurring amount next fiscal year to (1) travel expenses for international conferences and (2) finish the website development. Our article was accepted for ECISER2024, an international conference part of the 32nd European Conference on Information Systems.
